South from the village Kám, 3,5 km from the main road Nr.8 lies the famous Arboretum. In 1922 on a former sheep-run called Jelihálás Count Ambrózy-Migazzi István started to establish the arboretum.
In May, in the Upper Park starting from the main entrance, thousands of exemplars of 300 rhododendron species form a sea of flowers. Here is the Ambrózy-statue to be found and the unique, 1.5 km long Educational Trail ‘Magic Garden’ suited to the needs of people with disabilities and providing information for the blind and partially sighted.
