Kőszeg – historic town centre

Kőszeg is an atmospheric small town of 12.000 inhabitants in the western border region of Hungary. Its historic centre and renovated squares offer numerous sights of interest for the visitors. The siege by the Ottomans in 1532 emerge from the town’s rich history when a handful of defenders led by Miklós Jurisics were able to force back an attacking army of approx. hundred thousand men.
