The Croatian tradition is rich and colourful, especially in the plains of golden Slavonia, where it is still respected and preserved. Visit the craftsmen and other guardians of the Slavonian tradition. Explore the path of the licitar heart, from its creation until the moment when it becomes the beautiful gift of a handsome boy to a seductive girl in dazzling and colourful folk costume. We’ll take you to a typical village and, accompanied by boys and girls dressed in traditional costumes, we’ll walk down the main street – a šor. Some of the costumes that you will see are especially dear to us because they are just like the traditional gingerbread ‘licitar, registered on UNESCO’s list of the world’s cultural heritage. Then we’ll listen to the cheerful sound of an ensemble playing tamburica, a favorite folk instrument. Revealing this and other hidden gems of Slavonian folklore, you will certainly have a great time!

Tourist packages range from 1 – 3 days.

The activity programme for a 3 day package includes:

Day 1: Osijek

Day 2: Osijek – Batina

Day 3: Đakovo – Gorjani

Packages are available throughout the year, for groups of between 2 – 40 people. Accommodation is provided at 3 or 4 star hotels in Osijek and the surrounding area and at rural homesteads. Transport is possible with your own vehicle or through us, by bus, minibus or van. Professional guides are available in Croatian, English, German, and other languages upon request.
